I thought I’d share a very cool thing that happened to me when I least expected it.
Just a quick story: A few days ago, I drove someone to the Geneva airport. And I noticed that there was an accident on the other side of the road, the side I’d be taking to go back to Burtigny. So, I dropped this person off at the airport and I turned around to go back home. But, there was so much traffic! It was like going into the US from Tijuana! (you all know what that’s like). So, I decided to just sit back and wait, not really anything else I could do! So I was just looking around and I started to think about when I go back to YWAM San Diego/Baja. A overwhelming feeling started to take over and sort of “scared”. But immediately, I felt the Lord reminding me of something. When I had just gotten to Switzerland, I met this guy from England. And he was working outside and it was raining. So, during lunch someone mentioned the fact that he was working outside in “bad weather”. Then the guy turns and says “there’s no such thing as bad weather. only bad clothing”. At the time I just thought that was funny and only a guy from England would say that! 😉
But then in the car, the Lord really spoke to me and asked me the question: Are you getting dressed the right way for the weather?. Man! That got me. I just started remembering all I have been reading in the Bible, all that God has done for me, all that He keeps doing and all that He says will do! I started singing louder to the music to a song that repeats that “I believe in the name of Jesus”.
So, now the 3 months challenge to read the whole Bible that started a few days ago, has gotten a whole different meaning. God doesn’t have me reading His word just so I can say I have read it all. He has me doing that, so He can speak to me and get me dressed appropriately for the weather.
Thank you for reading! And I really really do look forward to hearing from each one!!! Love you all!!! 🙂
